The Primary ICT Department was delighted to successfully conduct the ICT Week Competition 2026, held from 20 to 26 July 2026 under the theme “Digital Excellent!” The week-long programme provided Primary students with an exciting platform to showcase their creativity, digital skills, ICT knowledge and problem-solving abilities through a variety of engaging computer-based activities.
Conducted during the students’ scheduled one-hour computer lessons, the competition encouraged students to apply the ICT skills they had developed throughout the year. Working independently under the guidance of their teachers, students demonstrated confidence and creativity while using a range of software applications to complete tasks designed specifically for their year levels.
Developing Digital Skills Through Creativity
Each year level participated in an activity suited to their age, abilities and learning objectives:
Year 1 – Drawing Competition: Students used Microsoft Paint/Paint 3D to create a picture of a “House”, demonstrating their creativity and basic digital drawing skills.
Year 2 – PowerPoint Presentation: Students created a presentation on “My Favourite Things”, incorporating appropriate images, animations and slide transitions.
Year 3 – Excel Spreadsheet: Students created a “Test Scores Analysis” spreadsheet, using formulas to calculate the Total, Maximum, Minimum and Average marks before presenting their results using a 3D Column Chart.
Year 4 – GIMP Poster Design: Students designed an A4 poster based on the important theme “Stop Online Bullying”, combining creativity with responsible digital citizenship.
Year 5 – MSWLogo: Students used REPEAT commands in MSWLogo to create geometric shapes, developing their logical thinking, programming and problem-solving skills.
Through these activities, students were able to explore different digital tools while applying their knowledge in practical and meaningful ways.

Celebrating Every Participant
While special recognition was given to the top three students from each year level, the Primary IT Department would like to congratulate all participating students for their enthusiasm, effort and creativity.
Every student contributed to the success of ICT Week through their willingness to learn, explore new digital tools and challenge themselves. Their participation reflected the importance of creating opportunities for students to develop not only technical skills, but also confidence, creativity, independence and responsible digital habits.
The department also extends its sincere appreciation to Tr. Wiwi and Tr. Azim for evaluating the competition entries based on creativity, accuracy, presentation, application of ICT skills and completion of the assigned tasks according to the competition criteria.
Looking Ahead
The ICT Week Competition 2026 successfully complemented the Primary IT curriculum by giving students a valuable opportunity to put their digital knowledge and skills into practice.
More importantly, the competition encouraged students to become confident, creative and responsible users of technology. As digital technology continues to play an increasingly important role in education and everyday life, programmes such as ICT Week help equip students with the skills, creativity and positive attitudes they need for the future.
Congratulations once again to all our winners and participants!
Keep exploring, creating and innovating! 💻✨
