On the 4th of May 2026, a total of 32 Year 10 and Year 11 students were proudly awarded their certificates in recognition of their successful completion of the AI Ready ASEAN programme.
The programme is organised by the ASEAN Foundation with support from Google.org and Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) as the Local Implementing Partner.
As part of the programme requirements, participating students were required to complete all chapters of a 12-hour online AI learning module. These modules covered essential aspects of artificial intelligence, and all participants successfully met the completion deadline on 24 April 2026.
The AI Ready ASEAN programme aims to enhance awareness and understanding of artificial intelligence among students and educators across the ASEAN region. Through this initiative, students gained valuable knowledge about the responsible use of AI, including key topics such as privacy, ethical considerations, and the broader awareness of how AI impacts society.
Overall, the programme has equipped students with important digital skills and a deeper understanding of AI, preparing them to navigate an increasingly technology-driven world with responsibility and confidence.
