On 25th November, 2025, the staff of St. George’s School embarked on a meaningful visit to our sister school, St. John’s School, Kuala Belait, for a full-day bonding and professional sharing session. The delegation included Chairperson of the School Board, Anthony Liew, Principal Janidi Jingan, Assistant Deputy Principal Luxman Satchi, School Board Member Freddie Ho, Heads of Sections, Heads of Departments, teachers, and support staff.
The group departed from St. George’s School by bus and arrived at St. John’s School where they were warmly welcomed by Principal Dr. Teh Keng Wat, the management team, and school representatives. The visit began with a group photo, marking the start of a collaborative and enriching day.
The programme commenced with a safety briefing and a welcoming address by the Head of their English Department, followed by an opening prayer. The morning continued with a presentation by the Principal of St. John’s School, who delivered her opening remarks and expressed gratitude for the visit. Her presentation highlighted the history of St. John’s School, an overview of the school’s policies and guidelines, staff and academic KPIs, and reflections on the school’s COVID-19 experience. This was followed by a presentation from Principal Janidi Jingan, who shared insights into St. George’s School’s history, the current school administration structure and highlighted the school’s inspirations, achievements, and major events.
After the plenary session, staff members from both schools were divided into subject-based groups to conduct focused discussions on various educational topics. A lunch break provided a relaxed time for informal bonding, after which the hosts led visitors on a tour of the school, offering a closer look at St. John’s School’s facilities and learning environments.
