On 12th November 2025, the staff of St. George’s School gathered for a special farewell luncheon in honour of our long-serving Deputy Principal, Mr. N. M. Mubarak. The event, held within the school, was filled with warmth and appreciation as colleagues celebrated his remarkable contributions over the years.

The occasion featured heartfelt speeches from our Chairman, Mr. Anthony Liew, and Principal, Mr. Janidi Jingan, both reflecting on Mr. Mubarak’s lasting impact on the school community. Their words highlighted his tireless dedication, leadership, and the many ways he has helped shape St. George’s into the institution it is today.

Having served the school for an impressive 28 years and 6 months, Mr. Mubarak has been an integral part of its growth and success. Beyond overseeing academic matters, he played a vital role in maintaining the school’s facilities and coordinating countless events—always ensuring that everything ran smoothly behind the scenes. His commitment and sense of responsibility have left an indelible mark on students, staff, and alumni alike.

During the celebration, Mr. Mubarak shared a few words of his own. He expressed his deep gratitude to the school community for their support throughout his journey, reminiscing about the many memorable moments and friendships built over nearly three decades. He thanked his colleagues for their teamwork and dedication, and encouraged everyone to continue upholding the school’s spirit of unity and excellence.

As Mr. Mubarak embarks on a well-deserved retirement, the St. George’s family extends its deepest gratitude and best wishes for his next chapter. His lifetime of service will be fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of working with him.

Once a St. Georgian, always a St. Georgian.
