On 24th September 2025, the school’s Secondary Section celebrated Teachers’ Day, observed annually on 23rd September, which also commemorates the birth of Almarhum Sultan Haji Omar Ali Saifuddien, the Father of Modern Brunei. This year marked the 35th Teachers’ Day Celebration, held in recognition of the vital role educators play in nurturing young minds, instilling values, and equipping future generations to lead, innovate, and contribute meaningfully to society.
Students and teachers gathered in the Parish Hall, where the celebration began with an opening speech by the principal, Mr. Janidi Jingan. In his address, he paid heartfelt tribute to teachers, acknowledging their unwavering dedication, patience, and profound influence on the lives of students. He also reminded students of the importance of respecting their teachers and learning from their guidance, while highlighting the need to support educators in cultivating resilience, nurturing creativity, and promoting sustainability within the learning environment.
The program continued with stage performances by students, who entertained their teachers through lively band music, energetic dances, a soulful musical recital, and a series of fun games for teachers that brought laughter and joy to the hall. Following the stage performances, the celebration extended into the classrooms with potluck-style gatherings. Students and teachers shared a wide variety of dishes, creating a memorable end to the special day.
Teachers’ Day celebration is not only a day of festivities, but also a reminder of the lasting impact teachers have on their students. It was a fitting tribute to their invaluable role in shaping lives, leaving behind cherished memories and a renewed sense of gratitude for their tireless efforts.
