Story Telling Workshop
In conjunction with the Primary Language Week, St. Georges School invited Parabelle Studios to host a Story Telling workshop on 18th September 2025. The workshop was attended by Head of Primary, Madam Alice Ting, with the Year 4 and Year 5 students as participants.
The workshop started off with a handful of students sharing their favourite stories and then describing plots of well-known stories. They then learned about the 8 steps of a ‘Hero’s Journey’, which essentially highlights the usual plot of any superhero story. Students were then tasked to create their own superheroes, complete with name, personality and costume, followed by a problem for them to solve and how they would overcome it. Once the activity ended, a few brave students volunteered to share their stories with the rest of students.
The event concluded with a certificate presentation from Madam Alice Ting to the members of Parabelle Studios. The storytelling workshop successfully nurtured creativity and confidence among the participants, leaving them inspired to share their own stories.
