
The dedication and digital prowess of St. George's School students were formally recognised today as the winners of the ICT Week Competition 2025 received their well-deserved prizes and certificates at the Primary School Assembly.
Held between 1st and 6th September 2025, the annual ICT Week was a resounding success, fulfilling its aim to strengthen students' ICT knowledge and improve practical skills. The competition saw active participation across all year groups, with students showcasing their abilities in applications ranging from basic art programmes to foundational programming.
"The enthusiasm and skill demonstrated by our students this year was truly impressive," commented a school representative. "It’s vital that we equip them with these essential digital skills, and the competition provides a challenging, yet enjoyable, platform for learning."
A Showcase of Diverse Digital Skills
The week-long event challenged students with tasks tailored to their year level:
Year 1 drew on their creativity in MS Paint / Paint 3D to design 'A House'.
Year 2 mastered presentation skills by creating a compelling Microsoft PowerPoint show on 'My Favourite Things'.
Year 3 tackled logic and calculation, using Microsoft Excel to create an 'Expenses - Shopping List' spreadsheet, complete with formulas for total, maximum, minimum, and average.
Year 4 engaged in professional design, using Scribus for an A4 Poster Design on 'Brunei Wildlife Park'.
Year 5 took a step into coding fundamentals, making shapes using REPEAT commands in MSWLogo.
