
Fun River Cruise Adventure for Year 3 Students!
The Primary Section of St. George’s School, Bandar Seri Begawan, recently treated its Year 3 students to an exciting and educational river cruise on board MV Sentosa on 12th June 2025, blending adventure with learning in Brunei’s great outdoors!
The young explorers embarked on a scenic journey along the Brunei River, where they marveled at lush mangrove forests and observed the unique stilt houses of Kampong Ayer. Along the way, they gained fascinating insights into Brunei’s rich riverine culture and vibrant ecosystem.
A major highlight was spotting the legendary Jong Batu, a rock formation steeped in Bruneian folklore. The teachers brought the tale to life, sparking the students’ curiosity—their brilliant questions and eager participation made the experience even more enriching!
Combining fun with education, the cruise was the perfect opportunity for the class to bond while discovering the wonders of their country’s natural heritage. With laughter, excitement, and endless discoveries, this unforgettable excursion proved that the best lessons often happen beyond the classroom.
