One of the 17 warships that took part in counter-terror exercise held in Singapore that set sail to Brunei was the Philippine Navy's Flagship BRP Gen. Gregorio Del Pilar. St. George's School was very fortunate to be invited to visit the said warship in Muara. Fifteen students accompanied by Mr. Janidi Jingan, the school Principal, and Mr. Eugenio V. Mendoza, were brought on a tour in and around the warship.
Students were mesmerized and amazed by the equipment on board the warship and how the ship could be navigated. It also has complete facilities such as a barbershop, gym and clinic with doctors and nurses to attend to the needs of the naval officers. The students who are interested to join the Navy were informed of the entry requirements.
