Brunei Entrepreneurship Education Scheme (BEES) is jointly organised by Curriculum Dept of MOE, LiveWire Brunei, Brunei Shell and University of Brunei Darussalam (UBD) with the purpose to educate the students theoretically and practically on the importance of the entrepreneurship.
St George's School joined the second batch of this BEES Programme in 2013 under the name of SGS Honey Wisdom BEES Company. There were 19 BEES Achievers from Y9 and Y10 supervised by 2 teachers as the internal advisors. Focusing on selling food and drinks, the company also managed to earn from selling of unique bookmarks and special knives (supplied by the external advisor, Mr Nick).
Hard work of the achievers was recognised when the company was awarded as The Most Outstanding Planner in the 2013 BEES Convention held on 27th February 2013 in Hua Ho Manggis Mall. The company which was led by Md Aqil Awang as the Managing Director, was seen as a visualise which also excelled in planning and managing the business as well as adapting to changes in the business.
