Welcome to our school

St. George's School is a catholic mission school established since 1937.

Our mission is to provide opportunities for the overall integral development of each student.

On the 13th and 14th of July, 2018, sixteen (16) teachers from Secondary, Primary and Kindergarten sections including a staff, attended the Occupational First Aid Course in St. George's School. This comprehensive first aid course was conducted by a well-trained officer, Mr Ahmad Akbal Adi Yusa Bin Haji Md Yusuf from Brunei Red Cresent Academy.

The 29th Annual Secondary Sports Meet 2018 of St.George's School was held at the field of the Kebajikan Stadium, Berakas on 30th June 2018. In the opening speech by the Principal, Janidi Jingan, he informed that engaging in sports activities will bring health benefits to a person. Also, he stated that sports could teach the students to learn about values like discipline, responsibility, self-confidence, sacrifice and accountability. He reminded the students to ensure that the spirit of sportsmanship and fair play is fully adhered to and upheld for the glory of sport.

Every year during Ramadhan, St. George's School remembers our dear students who have been made orphans at such a young age, and takes a collection from all staff, teachers and students.

The Hari Raya Donation was presented to 28 recipients on Monday, 28th June 2018 in a short, but meaningful ceremony. On 14 May 2018, St George's School took part in the Interschool Choral Speaking Competition held at RTB Sungai Akar Broadcasting Complex. The speakers consisted of eighteen students from Years 7, 8 and 9 and were accompanied by two teachers-in-charge, Tr Vimaladevi Devi Kaliappan and Tr Roslynne Sii How Yi.

The journey to the finals began with the preliminary round held on 13 March at the Co-curriculum Department, Ministry of Education where all thirteen competing schools gathered to qualify...

SGS is truly grateful to ROTARY BSB for inviting SGS Leaders to its first ever RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) in Brunei held from 3rd to 6th May in 2 different locations, in Bintudoh Green Spring Resort, Lamunin and in Pantai Seri Kenangan, Tutong.

RYLA was attended by student leaders from Sabah, Johor and Sarawak and some private schools in Brunei. There were about 70 participants who took part in the camp. Various activities were held that helped students develop friendship, teamwork and leadership skills.

May 3 2018 saw the finals of the Netball Tournament for Secondary Schools and Colleges in Cluster 2 being held at the Multi-purpose Hall, Berakas. The tournament was organised by the Co-curriculum Education Department, Ministry of Education and hosted by St.George's School, Bandar Seri Begawan.

The Borneo Global Issues Conference (BGIC), organised by the International School of Brunei (ISB), was held on the 9th to 12th of March. The theme for this year was "Life Below Water".

Before the event, students from participating schools took part in training sessions at ISB where they were instructed on the format of a United Nations conference and formally welcomed into their respective committees. These committees were each assigned one of four current global issues, examining political, environmental, eco-social and human rights...

Leadership training is an annual event hosted by St George's school where students are guided to the characteristics of becoming a great leader in the future.

This year's leadership training was a two-day and one night-stay at the Star Lodge Hotel with the theme 'Leading the Way'. The first day was divided by 3 sessions discussed by Mr Anthony Liew, Bishop Cornelius Sim and Mr Janidi Jingan.

It was an exciting last day of the school term for students of St. George's School on Thursday 15 March 2018. The annual cross-country race at Tasek Lama Recreational Park, Bandar Seri Begawan, was held as part of the school's programme to keep the students fit and healthy with physical activities.

St. George's School held an 'Awards for Excellent Results' for the 2017 PSR and GCE 'O' Level Examination. The award ceremony was held on Tuesday, 13 March, at the Parish Hall. It was to show appreciation to the students for their excellent performance in the above mentioned public examinations.

The principal, Mr Janidi Jingan, gave a speech to welcome the guests, parents, teachers and students to the award ceremony. Awards for excellent results were received by students who performed extremely well in the Primary School Assessment ( PSR ) and the GCE 'O' Level...
